“Today, I am leaving for America to join my fellow countrymen in celebrating Malawi’s Diamond Jubilee Independence Day this weekend in South Bend. While it will be a joyous occasion, it is also bittersweet as we mourn the recent loss of many sons and daughters of this beautiful nation. May God bless Malawi.
