“OPC Announces Staff Record update for Grade E/P4 and Above”

The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) has informed principal secretaries, heads of departments, and agencies of it’s plan to update staff records for officers from Grade E/P4 upwards.

A letter signed by Dr. Maxwell Tsitsi, Director of Administration at OPC, states that Human Resource Officers to request important documents.

These documents include letters of conditional appointment for permanent officers, promotional letters, record of service cards, confirmation letters, and more.

The OPC has instructed department heads to specify each officer’s employment terms, indicating if they are permanent, pensionable, or temporary.

Chief Communication s Officer Geoffrey Kawanga describe the move as a standard procedure in government human resource management.

Meanwhile, Michael kaiyatsa Chairperson of the National Ant-Corruption Alliance, said the public anticipated such an action due to rumors of unprocedural appointments circulating.

Kaiyatsa warned against using the initiative as a means to target or witch hunt specific individuals. He stressed that the process must be transparent and professional.

The movie is viewed as part of wider attempts to improve human resource governance, ensure proper documentation, and boost accountability in public service.
