Namadingo recently visited Mangochi District Hospital to follow up on his initiative to fix the hospital’s broken-down ambulances. However, his visit was met with frustration due to the unavailability of key hospital personnel.
Namadingo arrived at the hospital at 2:00 PM today, but was unable to meet with the Director of Health Services, who was reportedly absent without explanation. The Director’s secretary stated that she hadn’t spoken to him and didn’t know his whereabouts.
The hospital administrator was also unavailable, reportedly out for lunch with the secretary speculating that he might have gone somewhere else. The District Medical Officer was said to be in Monkey Bay on fieldwork.
Due to the unavailability of these key personnel, Namadingo and his team decided to extend their stay in Mangochi and plan to return to the hospital the next day to try and meet with them.
